Patna: Bihar Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar on Thursday inaugurated Jeevika-sponsored Saras Mela themed 'Hunarmand Mahila, Khush-haal Parivar' (Talented Women, Happy Family) at Gandhi Maidan in Patna where more than 350 stalls have been set up to showcase handicraft from a number of states.
Like in previous years, the annual fair where women get an opportunity to showcase their handicraft – be it clothing items, paintings, decorative items, or furniture – kicked off amidst a host of activities including 'nukkad-natak', folk cultural programs, food stalls serving items to appeal to varied taste buds, and games and contests offering free gifts to the winners.
